This venue can host up to 200 guests, but it’s also great for more intimate weddings as well. It is open year-round and is one of those spaces that’s truly versatile. Whether you want a more laidback luxury wedding or one that’s super timeless and intimate, King Family Vineyards is an incredible option.
The Space Downtown
Located centrally in Charlottesville, The Space Downtown is perfect for those wanting a city wedding. It can host up to 150 guests and features beautiful exposed brick walls that give it a true industrial atmosphere.
It’s one of the newer wedding venues in Charlottesville VA, having only opened in 2010 by two chefs. As you can imagine since it was founded by two chefs, private dining is their specialty, so you can rest assured that your wedding will have an impeccable custom menu that will be talked about for years to come.
Old Metropolitan Hall
Old Metropolitan Hall on East Main in Charlottesville is a chic venue. Inside, there are high-vaulted ceilings with black and white tiled floors, large windows letting in lots of natural light, and breathtaking chandeliers that feel like they’re taken straight out of The Great Gatsby.
The space can host up to 150 guests and has a few different spaces inside, like the ballroom, which is perfect for the cocktail hour. One thing to note is that this is an indoor space. If an outdoor space is a must for you, then be sure to keep reading to find your perfect venue!
Market at Grelen


The Market at Grelen is one of the best wedding venues in Charlottesville VA situated on 1000 acres of land! Common House
The Common House Charlottesville is a unique inner-city venue that feels like its own little pocket of wonderland. It’s modern and is perfect for weddings with its banquet-style main event space called Vinegar Hall. When booking a wedding here, you actually get access to three different floors, including a rooftop space with epic views.
This is ideal for weddings of up to 100 guests. Full-service catering and full bar services are available. If you’re a foodie, you’ll be happy to know that the chefs here can do any time of cuisine for your event!
Keswick Vineyards


While located in Keswick, this is one location near Charlottesville you shouldn’t miss. Keswick Vineyards is a beautiful venue that has been family-owned since 2000. Surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, these vineyards offer a 12-hour rental from noon until midnight, allowing for some late-night dancing.
Packages here are inclusive, meaning you get access to getting-ready suites, tents, tables, chairs, lights, and more. They have an all-outdoor space with a hand-stitched tent, too, which adds a unique touch to your big day.
Early Mountain Vineyards
Located right outside Charlottesville in Madison, Early Mountain Vineyards is on the famous Monticello Wine Trail. It’s a luxury facility that’s great for ceremony and reception, with Blue Ridge panoramic views. Up to 200 guests can be hosted here!
Throughout the event space, you’ll find beautiful fireplaces, breathtakingly rustic chandeliers, exposed brick, and high, vaulted ceilings. There are also both indoor and outdoor spaces, including a guest cottage that’s perfect for either a newlywed honeymoon suite or a getting-ready suite.
Quirk Hotel Charlottesville
I know what you’re thinking – a hotel is on this list of best wedding venues in Charlottesville VA? YES. The Quirk Hotel Charlottesville is an epic place for a wedding. Not only can you stay at the same place where you’re hosting your wedding, but you can also get beautiful views from the rooftop here.
In total, you’ll be able to rent out around 11,000 square feet of space, both indoor and outdoor. Plus, the rooftop is covered, so even if the Virginia weather doesn’t want to coordinate, you can still get those outdoor vibes for your big day. Quirk Hotel is one of those venues that really serves as a blank space that you can truly make your own.
Castle Hill Cider


Founded in 2010, Keswick’s Castle Hill Cider is an unforgettable wedding venue. With 600 acres of beautiful Virginia land, it’s easy to see why this place is a showstopper! It has indoor and outdoor spaces and can host up to 350 guests, making it perfect for a larger wedding.
The Loft is one of the most unique indoor spaces at Castle Hill Cider, with double doors that allow a lot of natural light in. Outdoor spaces include the newly-added 2022 Bluestone Terrace, the lawns, and Linden Grove (which is a beautiful place to say “I do” surrounded by trees).
Oakhurst Inn
Another more industrial Charlottesville wedding venue, Oakhurst Inn’s Oakhurst Hall is a beautiful spot for an intimate wedding of up to 100 guests. The exterior of this building has lots of charm and looks like it was picked right out of Ella Enchanted.
The interior has a charming, rustic, yet modern atmosphere. Out back is a pool area and garden. There are upstairs guest rooms, a lobby bar, and more throughout the space. In-house catering is also available, which can make planning your wedding even easier.
Veritas Vineyards


Veritas Vineyards is known for its incredible wines but is also a great venue in the Charlottesville area for a wedding (it’s just 20 minutes west). They call the main area here “The Farmhouse,” and you can book for either one night or two if you want to make an entire weekend out of it. With guestrooms on-site, this is an excellent way to celebrate your wedding even longer with your loved ones.
There are great amenities here (depending on what package you purchase), including a four-course dinner, day-of coordinator, cake cutter, and even breakfast. Similar to other venues on this list, Veritas Vineyards has great views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, which is one of the reasons why couples love this 250-person wedding venue so much.
The Wool Factory
Last but certainly not least is The Wool Factory in Charlottesville. This urban, industrial venue is truly unlike any other out there. What used to be an old 19th-century mill has since been fully refurbished and upgraded to be a chic wedding venue with rustic elements of charm.
There are more than 6,000 square feet of space throughout, both indoor and outdoor. It can host up to 360 guests. Plus, there’s in-house catering by Chef Tucker Yoder, who crafts menus using local ingredients for your big day. Oh, and did I mention there’s an on-site craft brewery, too?
