Ahh, congratulations! This is such an exhilarating time but, also a time that flies by in the blink of an eye. Soak it all in, look at the beautiful ring, study the details and enjoy it’s beauty. Whether you picked out a ring together or it came as a surprise, it is a dreamy feeling to have ring on your hand.
Enjoy your fiancé. When I was engaged to my now husband, we decided that going on a date once a week was something we wanted to do. It could’ve been anything: The movies, a hike in the mountains, or something simple like a picnic at the park. No matter what, we did something that showed each other that we loved each other, and I feel like that helped us enjoy the wedding planning process even more!
NOW WHAT?? What comes next? “I just got engaged and wedding planning seems overwhelming and I’m not sure where to begin.” My advice to you is start by planning out your wedding budget. Take a day when you have some time, sit down with your fiancé, and go over what you’d like to spend for each part of your wedding day. If you plan on hiring a wedding planner (which I highly recommend) they can help you with your budget if you are unsure. Hire your planner first and go from there.
