West Virginia is truly blessed with an abundance of stunning wedding venues, which makes choosing just one all the more difficult. However, if you’re looking for a wedding venue that is filled with rustic charm, surrounded by the quiet hum of nature with picturesque vistas, you have to check out Puesta Del Sol! The name “Puesta Del Sol” means “sunset” in Spanish, and it’s such a fitting name for this venue as it has some of the most spectacular sunsets I’ve ever seen.
As a Virginia wedding photographer, I’ve had the joy of photographing weddings at this venue, and it comes with a glowing recommendation from me!
Read on to learn more about the Puesta Del Sol Farm wedding venue to discover if it’s the venue of your dreams!

Puesta Del Sol Farm: One of the Top West Virginia Wedding Venues
Puesta Del Sol Farm is a dreamy wedding venue in West Virginia that’s only a 20-minute drive from Winchester and nestled in the Appalachian Valley. Here you’ll find rolling hills, mountains, and a tranquil oasis to serve as the backdrop for your celebration.
This is the perfect venue if you’re looking for a wedding location with breathtaking mountain views, stunning sunsets, exceptional staff, and a space that blends tradition with modern elegance.
This venue only hosts one event per weekend, so you won’t have to worry about another event happening at the same time as yours, and they even offer you one or two days’ access to the farm, whichever option best suits your needs. Furthermore, when booking with the venue, they also provide you with a list of their preferred vendors so you don’t have to stress about doing everything on your own!

Ceremony Sites at Puesta Del Sol Farm
Puesta Del Sol Farm has a few different sites you can choose from for your ceremony, including the charming Arbor by the Pond. This site features a beautiful wooden arbor surrounded by two serene ponds. During your ceremony, you’ll be looking out at endless rolling fields, the stone farmhouse, and the mountains. Additionally, this ceremony site can accommodate up to 200 guests. Another smaller outdoor option for your ceremony is the Sunset Overlook, featuring a cast-iron trellis and a charming stone pathway. The overlook can accommodate up to 50 guests.
If you prefer an indoor option, consider The Barn/Pavilion, which features a rustic barn constructed from reclaimed barn wood and stone. Inside The Barn, you’ll find a tall, looming ceiling and a spacious bar, plus you also have the option to add a tent extension to The Barn if you would like. This space has capacity for up to 200 guests.
Furthermore, if you’d like to have a cocktail hour, you simply can’t beat the gorgeous Stone Courtyard at this property. Here you will find an expansive patio surrounded by lush greenery. You could also plan to have a sit-down dinner here underneath the stars – how romantic does that sound? The property also features an underground wine cellar, perfect for hosting a cocktail hour or rehearsal dinner, as well as a fire pit and an antique greenhouse.
One other thing I wanted to mention is that if you plan to get married here, you’ll also have access to The Farmhouse, which is the perfect space for getting ready, as it features two bedrooms, a gourmet kitchen, a massive living room, and all the modern amenities you could possibly want.

Wedding Packages
One reason I love Puesta Del Sol Farm is that they offer different wedding packages to choose from, allowing you to find the perfect one that includes everything you’re looking for, whether it’s something simpler or grander. They currently have two different packages that you can choose from.
For a full breakdown of each different package and its amenities, you’ll first want to create an account on their website, and then you’ll have access to a comprehensive brochure that details everything for you. Also, a new feature of Puesta Del Sol is that they now have a wedding planning service that costs $7000. This service comes with a personalized experience where they handle all aspects of your wedding planning, including vendor selection, coordination, guest list management, day-of coordination, and so much more!

Best photo spots at Puesta Del Sol Farm
As a wedding photographer, I of course have to mention the best spots at this venue for photos, and the great news? There are so many! You’ll have a variety of unique and captivating backdrops to choose from depending on the aesthetic you’re going for. Some of my favorite spots include:
The Antique Greenhouse
This charming antique greenhouse is situated adjacent to a stream and surrounded by nature. Within the greenhouse, you can place various types of furniture and decorations, transforming the space into something that perfectly aligns with your wedding vision. The couple featured in this post added red flowers and a string of photos of them with their nearest and dearest to the greenhouse to make it feel uniquely theirs.
The Stone Courtyard
The Stone Courtyard is a romantic spot to take some pictures, as it’s also surrounded by nature and features warm, inviting string lights.
Next to the barn
The barn provides an eye-catching backdrop, and with a lot of space surrounding it, it’s perfect for moving around and snapping photos from various angles and in different settings.
Next to the pond
The pond creates a tranquil and beautiful backdrop for photos, offering stunning views of the mountain and nature.
In the underground wine cellar
The underground wine cellar is another stunning spot for photos featuring the property’s exclusive wine collection.
