Ashton Creek Vineyard is a full-service, all-season event venue located in Virginia Wine Country, just 20 minutes south of Richmond. It can accommodate up to 250 guests, and it’s the perfect choice if you want a rustic yet elegant venue surrounded by magical, picturesque scenery everywhere you look.
The vineyard has several different venue spaces you can choose from, including both indoor and outdoor options such as their rustic-chic barn, the gorgeous wrap-around patio, and veranda surrounding their main event space overlooking the lawn and acres of Virginia vineyard. Or, you can plan your celebration on their perfectly manicured expansive green lawn.
Furthermore, you can customize any of these spaces to match your wedding venue. The venue even offers you a variety of decor options you can choose from, such as an indoor stone gas fireplace, individual dimmers on all light fixtures in the main reception hall, or rectangular, round, and high-top tables.
They also have a tent-compatible lawn perfect for dancing the night away underneath the stars!
One of my favorite features of this venue is the option to include in-house catering and bar offerings as part of your day! Ashton Creek Vineyard has incredible food – you’ll work alongside their expert culinary and events team to create your dream menu, all inspired and sourced locally. Since it is a vineyard after all, they offer you a selection of estate-grown vintages to choose from, along with signature cocktails and spirits.

How much does a wedding at Ashton Creek Vineyard cost?
Ashton Creek Vineyard offers several different wedding packages that vary in cost. For example, if you book a wedding here Monday through Thursday and choose their Select package, the starting cost is $6,400. The same package on Friday and Sunday costs $8,200, and on Saturday, the starting cost is $9,200.
The Select package includes all of the following:
- 8-hour facility rental
- Use of the main Reception Hall and the surrounding patio for Cocktail Hour + Reception
- Day-of Coordinator
- $500 credit for specialty decor
- Tables and chairs for up to 250 guests

Suzy and Thomas’s Stunning Wedding at Ashton Creek Vineyard

A little background on the couple: Suzy and Thomas met in early elementary school and rekindled their relationship through college. They have been together ever since – how cute is their love story?
Suzy and Thomas wanted to plan a wedding where they could just enjoy being surrounded by their family and friends and, of course, take gorgeous photos. Ashton Creek Vineyard was the perfect place as it has a great layout and manyyy beautiful photo spots throughout the property.
There were plenty of locations to take rustic, edgy vibe style photos, and a beautiful vineyard in the front that served as an enchanting backdrop. Also, the lighting during golden hour and blue hour at this venue was exceptional!
Suzy and Thomas got ready on site, as there are two rooms available for use at the venue. These rooms created a darker, moodier vibe for their photos. While the getting-ready rooms create a darker, moodier aesthetic, the overall venue has a much lighter and brighter feel—just something to keep in mind if you are planning to book your wedding here!
After Suzy and Thomas got ready, Suzy had a heartfelt first look with her bridesmaids and her dad behind the venue. Suzy and Thomas did not do a first look as they wanted to see each other for the first time when Suzy walked down the aisle.
This made the moment so special as Thomas got quite emotional when seeing his beautiful darling walk down the aisle! Suzy and Thomas had their ceremony outdoors just outside the venue on the lawn.
Special Notes about Suzy and Thomas’s Day
Suzy and Thomas’s day flew by so effortlessly with the team that Suzy and Thomas hired, and made for smooth transitions between moments. Speaking of smooth transitions, I have to give a special shout-out to Riverwood Designs! They did an excellent job planning this wedding, and they even did the florals.
What made this wedding unique was how well the vendor team worked together to stay on time and take gorgeous photos/videos, and more. Having a stellar vendor team makes all the difference on the day of your wedding!
